VFW Homecoming

The Washington, Missouri VFW Hall held their annual Homecoming event.  This year I took my halftrack and M35A2 there and had them on display.  The turn out was a bit light, but I finally met up with Rich Fletch.  He is a WWII veteran who drove a halftrack during the war.  He was a member of the 8th Armored Infantry regiment and drove a M3A1 Halftrack named Angel.  I met a friend of his at the St. Louis Veteran's Parade and he told how Rich wanted to see a halftrack again.  We have been trying to together since then.  I really enjoyed talking with him and he enjoyed see the halftrack and hearing the engine run.  I wish we had more time and would have given him a ride in it.  Hopefully I will have another opportunity to meet him.
